The Clement includes a built-in house sound system that is perfect for ceremonies, speeches, announcements, and background music. Our system consists of a Crown 160MA commercial mixer/amplifier (60 watts) connected to eight ceiling-mounted speakers, along with a wireless handheld microphone.

This system was designed for clear voice amplification and ambient music throughout the venue. It works well for:

• Wedding ceremonies
• Toasts and speeches
• Announcements
• Background music during dinner or social time

Is It Suitable for a DJ?

Generally, no.

Our house sound system is a commercial public-address (PA) system—not a high-powered DJ system. While it provides clear, even sound throughout the venue, it is not designed to produce the volume, bass, or performance expected for a dance floor.

For receptions with dancing, most professional DJs bring their own:

• Powered speakers
• Mixer or DJ controller
• Microphones
• Subwoofers (if desired)

Using their own equipment allows them to deliver the sound quality and volume that guests expect during a wedding reception.

Can My DJ Use the House System?

Absolutely. If your DJ would like to use our house sound system for the ceremony, announcements, or cocktail hour, they’re welcome to do so. If they have questions about connecting to the system, we’re happy to answer them before the event.

Will Someone Be Available on the Wedding Day?

Yes. A representative from The Clement is available on the day of your event to assist with venue-related questions or unexpected issues. While we are not a wedding coordinator, we’re happy to help ensure everything related to the venue runs smoothly.
