We’re excited to host your event!
This page includes the most important information to review before arriving. Please share it with anyone helping with setup, decorating, catering, cleanup, or deliveries.
Confirm Your Reservation Time
Your reservation includes all setup, decorating, event time, teardown, and cleanup.
Please check your confirmation email for your exact reservation start and end times.
Do not arrive before your scheduled start time unless early access has been approved in advance. Please also make sure that all guests, helpers, vendors, decorations, food, and personal belongings are removed before your reservation ends.
Watch the Venue Videos
We strongly recommend watching our short video playlist before your event.
Start with this video:
How to Access and Use the Space
[Watch the most important video]
The full playlist also includes information about:
- Entering the building
- Alternate entrances with no stairs
- Kitchen use
- Heating and air conditioning
- Lighting
- Cleanup and locking the building
Please share these videos with anyone who will be helping with setup or cleanup.
Parking and Entrances
Please share our parking map with your guests, helpers, vendors, and delivery drivers.
[View or download the parking map]
The Clement is located in a former church building, and there are several entrances. Helpers sometimes arrive with decorations or supplies and go to the wrong door.
The parking map identifies:
- Guest parking
- The main entrance
- Accessible entrances with no stairs
- The best entrance for unloading supplies
- Areas where parking is not permitted
Please do not block neighboring driveways, sidewalks, fire access areas, or entrances used by our tenants.
Bringing Supplies
The Clement is a DIY-friendly venue. Please bring all supplies needed for your event.
Depending on your plans, this may include:
- Serving utensils
- Trays and food containers
- Cookware
- Foil and plastic wrap
- Disposable plates, cups, napkins, and utensils
- Ice and coolers
- Trash bags
- Decorations and installation supplies
- Extension cords or power strips
- Cleaning supplies for specialized messes
The kitchen contains major appliances and basic venue equipment, but you should not assume that a particular pot, pan, knife, serving utensil, or disposable product will be available.
Furniture and Setup
Your booking may include a standard arrangement of tables and chairs. Staff setup, courtyard setup, room flips, teardown, and cleanup are separate services unless specifically included in your reservation.
If you are setting up yourselves:
- Lift furniture rather than dragging it.
- Ask before moving large or unusual items.
- Keep exits, hallways, and fire equipment accessible.
- Do not block heating vents or thermostats.
- Return furniture to its original location before leaving unless you purchased Teardown Service.
If you sent us a layout or setup plan, please bring a copy with you. Minor adjustments may still be made during your reservation, but major last-minute changes may not be possible.
Decorating
You are welcome to decorate during your reserved time.
Please follow these guidelines:
- Do not use nails, screws, staples, or anything that damages walls, woodwork, floors, or furniture.
- Use only approved removable hanging materials.
- Do not attach decorations to fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, exit signs, lights, or mechanical equipment.
- Keep exits and walkways clear.
- Remove all tape, hooks, strings, wire, signs, and decorations before leaving.
- Do not use glitter, confetti, rice, birdseed, or similar difficult-to-clean materials without prior approval.
- Open flames must be approved and safely contained.
Please ask before hanging anything from the ceiling or attaching decorations to historic features.
Kitchen Use
Kitchen access is available only if it is included in your reservation.
The kitchen-use fee prepares the commercial kitchen for use, but it does not include kitchen cleaning.
Unless Kitchen Cleaning Service was purchased, kitchen users are responsible for:
- Washing cookware, utensils, and equipment
- Cleaning sinks and countertops
- Wiping spills and grease
- Cleaning the stove, oven, griddle, or other equipment used
- Removing food and beverages
- Emptying kitchen garbage
- Leaving the kitchen ready for the next guest
Please bring the cookware, serving utensils, disposable products, and specialty equipment required for your menu.
Do not leave food, beverages, ice, cookware, or catering supplies behind unless arrangements have been made in advance.
Heating and Air Conditioning
The venue uses more than one thermostat.
Please do not make extreme temperature adjustments. Large historic spaces take time to heat or cool, and repeatedly changing the thermostat will not make the system respond faster.
Before leaving:
- Set both thermostats to Off.
- Make sure exterior doors and windows are closed.
Contact us if you have trouble operating the system.
Optional Add-On Reminders
Church Bell Experience
You, a family member, or a friend may ring the original historic church bell.
Please ask us to show you how before attempting to use it. Children should not enter or operate the bell area without responsible adult supervision.
Teardown Service
If you purchased Teardown Service, you do not need to return tables, chairs, the portable bar, or other venue furniture to their original locations.
You are still responsible for removing:
- Decorations
- Gifts
- Food and beverages
- Personal belongings
- Vendor equipment
- Items brought into the venue
Venue Cleanup Service
If you purchased Venue Cleanup Service, we will handle routine venue cleanup, including garbage removal, sweeping, and mopping ordinary spills.
This service does not include:
- Removing decorations or personal belongings
- Returning furniture unless Teardown Service was purchased
- Cleaning the kitchen unless Kitchen Cleaning Service was purchased
- Cleaning excessive, unusual, or damaging messes
Kitchen Cleaning Service
If you purchased Kitchen Cleaning Service, our team will complete the agreed routine kitchen cleanup after your event.
Please still remove all food, beverages, personal cookware, catering supplies, and belongings before leaving.

Take the Two-Minute Venue Quiz
We created a short optional quiz covering some of the most important details about parking, entrances, kitchen use, and leaving the building secure.
It is especially helpful for the person responsible for setup and the last person leaving at the end of the event.

Please contact us before your event if anything is unclear.
